Lyceum

Lyceum is the final stage of school education. At this level our main concern is the efficient preparation of students, so that they will be able to go on with their studies and have all the necessary qualifications to become productive members of their society. We aim to provide them with whatever knowledge is needed for a successful career.

The curriculum in Lyceum is therefore very intense. Students are classed in small groups and major lessons are taught intensively by particularly experienced teachers.
All these along with the continuous evaluation of students constitute the most effective way to face the challenge of the Panhellenic University Entrance.
The help provided by the teachers is not only academic but also psychological and emotional, as moral is the key element of success.
The latter is the best reward for students' hard work and our school's high success rate is the biggest satisfaction and the clearest proof of the effectiveness of our efforts

As far as foreign languages are concerned, our students are successful candidates for Mittelstuffediplom, Kleines Deutsches Sprachdiplom and Cambridge Proficiency. These diplomas do not only certify the knowledge of the language but also give the green light for the enrolment in German and English speaking universities. For the same purpose the school has organized an information center, which is in charge of providing guidance and advice to students and parents about academic and career perspectives in foreign countries.
Helping students to make the right choices concerning academic and professional orientation is considered to be one of our most important tasks. Therefore close contact with the students and their families and detection of each student's unique characteristics, in combination with continuous research of job market's demands are, for us, the cornerstone of successful career advising.

	In Lyceum it is time for students to reap the fruits of several years' hard work. They travel nationally and abroad, thus gaining invaluable experience and they represent their school in various meetings and conventions. They also have the chance to publish journals and newspapers and they take part in many cultural and athletic activities.

Going in for sports is for students a way to rest and relax, as the curriculum in Lyceum is stressful and demanding. The trainers' and PE teachers' job is therefore to give students the opportunity to rest and loosen up for a short while.

For students of Ellinogermaniki Agogi, graduation does not mean the end of their school life. Right after graduation they become members of a new family, the school's graduates association. This association is closely connected with the school, as it welcomes new members every year.

Our graduates pay regular visits to the school, either to attend its activities or to organize their own. Their good memories are the best proof that however hard work at school may be, it always takes place in a friendly and joyful environment.
