ART ACTIVITIES

Theatre (for pupils of all grades)
It is very important to offer the children the possibility to express themselves in different ways, than those that we daily expect. Engaging in drama is of paramount importance to children, as it empowers their means of expression, brings them closer to works of Greek and classic literature, which they many never have known about otherwise, boosts their self-confidence and exposes them to an area of culture, which they will enjoy consciously even as adults.
Students of the drama group perform a play every year with the guidance of a director and actor/actress, participate in student art competitions and perform their play in a special cultural event organized by the school.

English Drama (for pupils of all Grades)
The aim of this activity is the theatrical adaptation of English texts and stories as well as the rehearsal and performance of English speaking plays throughout the school year.
Through theatre practice kids are enabled to communicate substantially, develop their emotional intelligence and put their imagination and creativity into practice. Pupils acquire more self-expression skills, while they improve their memory and articulation and boost their self-confidence.
Not only does their participation in this activity contribute to their socialization, but it also improves their English "DRAMA-tically"!

Photography (for pupils of all grades)

Children are introduced to methods of photography, developing and printing black and white photographs. The technique of taking a picture will be taught using hand-made hole cameras. Thus students are allowed to practically apply the knowledge of optics, which they have been taught, besides acquiring a real understanding of the function of a camera. Putting this knowledge to practice, they will gradually improve the quality of their hand-made camera and they will develop better quality pictures. Developing and printing the film using fun editing options and tricks will allow the students to apply knowledge gained in the lessons of Physics and Chemistry.

Musical Technology (for pupils of all grades)
In the computer dominated age, music maximizes the potential offered by advanced technology. Pupils are taught all the possible options of "the musical use" of the personal computer. They are introduced to musical programs as well as the basic techniques of studio and sound systems.

Greek Folk and traditional music (for pupils of all grades)
For those pupils who adopt the. "Back to roots" musical attitude, the school's conservatory offers a comprehensive option. Bouzouki, "baglamas", flute, lute, Cretan Lyra, "toumperleki", and traditional Greek songs. Children have the chance to study the theory and application of folk or traditional Greek music, together with experienced and high-esteemed teachers.

Preparatory classes of musicology (for Lyceum students)
Those students, who have chosen musicology as a major for their academic studies, will have the chance to be better prepared for the national exams in this field.

Classical music (for pupils of all grades)
Children have the option of choosing whatever musical instrument they like and learn how to play it. The piano, the guitar, the violin, the violoncello, the flute, the oboe, the clarinet, the bassoon, the trumpet, the trombone, the corn, the saxophone, percussion instruments , phonetics and advanced musical theory "await" kids in order to introduce them to the magical world of music.
The Music School of Ellinogermani Agogi, officially recognized by the Ministry of Culture, always employing experienced instructors, offers quality musical studies in all fields of classical music.

Classical and Modern Song Classes (for Pupils of all Grades)
Phonetic lessons for classical singing, Greek art-singing or modern pop singing are offered to those who love the art of the voice and are bound to study its technique properly.

Choir (for pupils of all grades)
Singing is a means of expressing our emotions. For children music and songs are an integral part of their nature and age. Participating in the school choir gives them the opportunity to learn and evaluate different kinds of music, perform true masterpieces in their own unique style and join their voices with those of high-esteemed and popular singers, who usually perform at the school's music events. Members of the choir remain at school once a week for two hours and practise -under the guideline of their music teacher and composer-for the annual concerts.
